Tjardo Maarseveen - member of the SPIDeRR consortium- just released an educational video that dives into how clustering techniques can help us better understand patient data in healthcare. This educational video was inspired by Tjardo’s recent research article* titled “Location and amount of joint involvement differentiates rheumatoid arthritis into different clinical subsets.”
In his work, Tjardo extensively applies clustering techniques to uncover meaningful patterns in patient data—specifically in how rheumatoid arthritis presents across different individuals. Recognizing the value of these methods, he created this video to share some of the clustering approaches he used in his study. His goal is to help others—whether researchers, clinicians, or data scientists—understand and apply these techniques in their own research.
